Bike Training
Whether
you're a first time rider or a seasoned biker our Motorcycle
Riding School has a course available that will develop your
riding skills. The school is run by an experienced, fully
qualified and very patient instructor! "At first I was really
nervous as I had never been on a bike before. John Wright, our
instructor, explained the basics in a clear concise manner but
was very encouraging if we didn't get it right first time".
First time riders need not have a bike of their own as we
provide Honda CB250's to ride and helmets are also available
and numbers are kept small to ensure one-on-one training. John
has extensive knowledge of the motorcycle licensing system and
is qualified to conduct the necessary tests. He can also
recommend the Honda most suited to your skill level and our
Honda Dealers acknowledge your use of the course by offering
special deals when you come to purchase your bike. More
experienced riders have also benefited from the advanced
riding course. "Even with 15 years of riding experience I
found the advanced riding course extremely beneficial. I
received constructive, positive feedback - I definitely feel
safer and more confident on the road." The courses offered
include:
1. First
time in the saddle: The core course consists of a three hour
one on one instruction to Basic Handling Skills Test level.
Bike and helmet included.
2. Refresher: For those people coming back into motorcycling and
who may need to complete the skills test. Bike and helmet
included.
3. Advanced Course: For people who need to improve their riding
skills. Riders own bike and gear.
4. Basic Handling Skills Practical Test: Bike and helmet
supplied.
The SKILLS TEST is for people who have some
riding experience or have completed the core course or the
refresher course.
The practical test comprises of cone
weaving, slow riding, normal braking, quick stop, riding
through semi-circle and stopping within the marked area.
